Instead, they must use a compass, a sonar, and their knowledge of their surroundings to determine where they are and which direction they should be traveling. There is a map, but it doesn’t actually tell players where their vessel is. Life under the sea is a nonstop struggle, and rarely does a player feel comfortable in Diluvion. Humanity doesn’t belong here - food is scarce, vision is limited, and diving too deep without a heavily reinforced submarine will end painfully. It depicts a planet on which angry gods have submerged human civilization and sealed it under an impenetrable layer of ice. Forget about space being the final frontier - there’s plenty yet to be discovered on our own planet.ĭiluvion, a Jules Verne-inspired underwater adventure from Arachnid Games, capitalizes on that otherworldliness. The ocean is such an inhospitable place that we’ve only explored about five percent of our own here on Earth. The lack of sunlight reduces one’s surroundings to silhouettes, and the weight of the water increasingly threatens to crush those too far underneath it. There’s something majestic and imposing about the bottom of the sea as the setting for a videogame. WTF The final area’s bizarre fixation on tetrahedrons. LOW Fiddling with the miserable torpedo targeting during a heated battle. Other than that I have no problems with the controls what so ever.HIGH The search for a passport. Maybe that's another solution to the problem, but then I guess you loose the ability to aim. How other games (many space games for instance) go around this problem is to have a camera lock onto a certain target, so you don't have to do a heading lock. How it is now is that once you release the A key (for instance) it will reset to the heading it was locked which makes it a bit difficult at times. I think it would also be nice once you have the keep heading toggle key that you also can do A-D inputs to adjust your heading while keeping the view onto your target so you can manoeuvre around targets while keeping eyes on target. A seperate key to toggle keep heading and stop following the mouse direction I think might solve it for me. Yeah the only problem with the mouse and keyboard controls is indeed the lock heading with the W-key.

Good luck for the developer to make the game better again Sorry if my explanation is not good enough This is my opinion from 2 hour gameplay, and from the old console game about ship and submarine. Make both old and new control toggleable is also good, since the current control is good for cruising So we could better position our submarine to orbit enemies submarineĪnd an option to reset camera to follow the submarine direction With this way, we could make a normal circle loop by only using 1 button If i press A on keyboard, the rudder make the submarine go left until the button is released

The problem is the way it automaticly make your submarine direction follow your crosshair, it is quite bad for combat since it would make your submarine goes directly to enemy submarine, making most of manuever still make your sub collide with enemiesįor me, i like it to do manual to the left or right, and also the depth control For submarine control, throttle is good for me
